VOLUNTEERING 

Manuel Bravo Project now works in partnership with PAFRAS to recruit and train volunteers for both organisations. We are now recruiting to the following roles:

Opportunities at Manuel Bravo Project:-

  • MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS: Help shape the direction of our organisation. We are looking in particular for people with experience in fundraising or HR to join our Management Committee. Email volunteering@manuelbravo.org.uk for more information
  • FUNDRAISING AND EVENTS VOLUNTEERS to assist with direct fundraising from the public and the organisation of promotional and fundraising events. This is an exciting new role for those with skills and interests in organising events, sponsored activities, promoting donations etc. Please see the role description link below for further details and email volunteering@manuelbravo.org.uk if interested. 
  • COMMUNICATIONS VOLUNTEERS to assist us with various aspects of publicity, social media and other communications. Volunteers need to have some knowledge of IT so that they can focus on an area such as website, social media or newsletters. Further training will also be provided.

Oportunities at PAFRAS:

  • WELLBEING VOLUNTEERS. These volunteers help to provide wellbeing activities in PAFRAS drop-in and to help make drop-in users feel at ease and welcome. PAFRAS drop-in runs every Wednesday from 10am – 2pm.

Manuel Bravo Project and PAFRAS joint opportunities:

INTERPRETERS (All languages spoken in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, but in particular: Farsi, Kurdish (all dialects), Somali, Swahili, Pashtu,Tamil, Tigrinya and Amharic) to help both Manuel Bravo Project and PAFRAS deliver our services. Recruitment ongoing for interpreters: no deadline 

Induction training for new volunteers will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 5th February 2019 2pm – 5pm

Tuesday 5th March 2019 10:30am – 1:30pm

New volunteers will need to attend one of these sessions before they start volunteering.

If you would like to support the work of Manuel Bravo Project financially, there are a number of ways to give:

  • Donate Online.

  • Donate via Cheque. Please make cheques payable to Manuel Bravo Project and send them into our office.

  • Donate via regular Standing Order. If you would like to donate via regular standing order, please email the office to request a copy of the form. If you are a UK tax payer, please fill in the gift aid declaration so we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you give and then return the form to the office via email or post.

  • Fundraise 

We are entirely dependent upon donations from charitable organisations, businesses, and individuals either financially or in kind so if you are able to help in any way with fundraising or have a bright idea for an event, we would love to hear from you! Previous events include art exhibitions, sponsored walks and parachute jumps out of planes so really, the sky’s the limit!
